Kyler is 3 TODAY! Kyler missed his check up today so we will update with that info Wednesday afternoon but he did have a fabulous birthday weekend! On Friday night he and Mandy got to play with Grammy and Poppy while Mama and Daddy went out for their anniversary...boy what fun! And Saturday Mr Kyle and Kyli came into town for the party and an overnight visit and Aunt Kelli and Matthew met us at the party and stayed the night to play too. It was like a slumber party! His birthday party at the park was so much fun and just about everyone showed up to play. We thank everyone for coming and for the wonderful gifts. We were easy to spot with so many people in blue and the kids had fun showing off their blue tongues. He had so much fun we had a hard time getting him in the van to go home. Sunday we had a great visit with Gran and Papa and tonight Aunt Kelly, Alex and Gage brought over a pool and cookie monster cake to eat Kyler's birthday supper with us. We were disappointed that is started sprinkling before we could play in the pool but it was fun. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLER! The slide show is a little long but I wanted to try to get everyone in.
The MADNESS of a working mom and keeping up with the fast paced life of her family of four!

Happy Birthday Matthew!
Saturday morning we loaded up and headed to Atlanta, TX...yes, there is an Atlanta, Texas. We went to celebrate Kyler's friend Matthew's birthday. They are about 2 1/2 weeks apart and fun to watch together. They sure were excited to see each other. Once Kyler found out we were going he started counting down the days on his calendar in his room, it was soo much fun to do that with him. Mandy just loved following the boys and Caitlin around. Caitlin loved "mothering" Mandy as long as she didn't have to "watch" the boys. Hard to believe she is already 12! I remember when she was the boys' age. Oh how they grow. It was great to get to spend time with Kelli and Steven too. We stayed up and played poker after the kids went to bed and just had a good time visiting. All in all definitely worth the trip. On our way home Sunday we stopped by the hospital in Arlington to check on Papa, relieved to find him feeling better. And we were very happy to find out he got to go home today! So we had a busy but wonderful weekend away from home!

Trip to the Playground.
Tonight we went to the elementary school playground with Aunt Kelly, Uncle Shawn, Austin, Alex and Gage. Boy was it fun....and easy too. It is very close to the house and since we don't have a park in town yet, this is really nice. The kids had a lot of fun sliding, climbing etc. The little ones loved playing in the gravel. Mandy loved the swings and the slide, she just laughed and laughed going down the slide. Kyler was everywhere taking it all in. It sure was nice to just get out and play!

Playtime with Gran and Papa
After planting the wonderful plants from Grandma and Grandpa we went up to visit Gran and Papa. We sure did have a great visit. We started with lunch, played in the back yard, Papa and Kyler played baseball, Daddy and Kyler fixed Gran and Papa's sprinkler system while Mandy took a nap and before supper....Papa taught Kyler how to dip cookies in milk! Even better was learning how to open the oreos and lick the middle out...yep like two little boys. I really enjoyed watching this. It has taken me a little longer than normal to put these pictures up because this week has been a beating as a teacher since it is TAKS week. I know we are blessed to have a lot of family nearby to visit so we try to spend as much time with everyone as we can and someday we will get a day for us too. For now we are enjoying all of our family!

Grandma and Grandpa
I forgot to take my camera...OFCOURSE...here lately I would forget my head if it wasn't attached. But we had a wonderful visit today. Mandy and Grandpa talked about ducks and quacked at each other A LOT. They seemed to be enjoying themselves. Kyler got m&ms from Grandma and entertained as usual. Grandma fixed lunch and she showed Kyle what to dig up out of the flower bed. We came home with some beautiful flowers and trees. We are getting very excited about the season coming when we will be able to enjoy our yard.

Hunting Eggs with Cousin Sydney
Here is the big hunt with Sydney at Grammy and Poppy's house. Kyler and Mandy get to spend time with Cousin Sydney at Christmas, Easter, Birthdays and a few occasions in between. But they sure do make up for it when they are together. Kyler and Sydney had just so much fun playing together and they both helped Mandy get Easter eggs. So sweet. Neighbors Jack and Lois came to watch the kids hunt eggs and seemed to enjoy watching the chaos. Kyler went to show them his prize and pet catfish their family dog. A true character in himself. Good food, good fun and good Easter.
Easter morning...
Daddy's Little Helper
Before snow, we bought four new additions for our home; 2 Red Oaks, 1 Red Crabapple, and 1 RedBud. Yes, trees! Woo Hoo. Man if they make it they will be beautiful. Kyler was able to stay in while Daddy planted the two in the front but when we got back from Cousin Gage's First Birthday party we just couldn't keep him inside while Daddy got the other two in. So...ofcourse...he "helped". My little man.

For Papa....GO RANGERS!
Yes, it is Palm Sunday and we went to church this morning but it is also Opening Day of Baseball Season so after the first round of pictures, the kids changed into their Rangers jerseys to take a couple of pictures for Papa. Sorry, I had to jump in to keep the peace... you know how it is. Thjs one is for you Papa.
Bluebonnets
We went to see the blue bonnets and a friend of Grammy's house and take pretty pictures. Aunt Lisa, Sydney, Aunt Tina, Nicole and the three of us. Daddy went turkey hunting with Uncle Shawn. The pictures turned out pretty well, the better pictures are on Grammy and Aunt Lisa's cameras. Mine did the best it could. After pictures in the flowers we got to love on the horses and boy did the kids enjoy that, in fact, I am not sure that the horses didn't enjoy it more.
