Mandy's BIG bike!

Mandy has been asking for a bigger bike lately. And to be fair she is beginning to bend her training wheels when she leans...SO since she hasn't been riding her jeep we told her if she wanted to sell it she could afford a new bike. Today it sold and we went straight to Target for her new bike. She is extremely happy with her choice and picked the bike that Barbie can ride with her LOL!!!

Kyler's Date with Aunt Kelly and Uncle Shawn

Kyler got to be Austin's guest on date night with his parents...what a lucky cousin to get a night like this! Aunt Kelly and Uncle Shawn took them to Texas de Brazil, to the Eurojump and they got to watch Harry Potter 2 (he LOVED the first one). I love that he and his cousin are best friends! They are hysterical together too.

Mandy's Fancy Dinner

Saturday (yesterday) when Kyle got home from work (knowing her brother was going out with his cousin) Mandy greeted him with A LOT of enthusiasm asking "Daddy...will you take me to dinner at a FANCY restaurant?" In the end after a little of expected sarcasm, she got her Fancy dinner!

Take two....

Mandy's second shot at her first day of preschool....

Mandy: "I want YOU to take me to school!"
Me: "I understand that you do honey but I just can't today...Mama has to go to work."
Mandy: "But I want to to take a picture with you at my school..."
Me: "I know honey but Mama can't be there today. I will take a picture with you at your school the first time I come to see you."
Mandy: Pause....LONG pause..."O...k..."

Labor Day

For Labor Day we took a family outing to our local Science Museum followed by a trip to the batting cages. Love family time...

What should have been.....

OK! Today should have been Mandy's first day of pre K but we had some rough storms last night and this morning leading to flooding due to construction at her school. She woke up at 6 (her school doesn't start until 9)and said "I need to have breakfast for my first day of school". I let her know it was very early and she could go back to sleep for a bit to which she said, "I am a little sleepy but don't want to go back to bed." Ok, got it....I said "You must be excited" to which she replied... "I AM!" Just have to love her. So with our extra time we reread her bedtime story from the previous night, got dressed, picked out bows (didn't match), earrings (didn't match), necklace and shoes....and OFCOURSE we had to paint nails (two different colors in a pattern...pink green pink green...her words). OMG she cracks me up!!! Then Bubba woke up and once he was ready for school they had the conversation in the previous entry. Once he got off we headed to our special breakfast (at Waffle House, her choice) and while there we got the call that school was cancelled...that did NOT go over well, she was so SAD! We were lucky Aunt Kelly called to give us the heads up so I was able to get her to Aunt Kelly and still be at work when I promised...WHEW. She got over having to play with "boys" all day and had a great time "playing boyfriend/girlfriend with little Jake ALL day". All in all it all worked out but I will be a little sad that this was the last first day drop off I will get to have and it got rained out....now, I will put on my big girl panties and grow up ;)

Conversations between siblings

Mandy: "Bubba, do I look pretty?"
Kyler: "Yes"
Mandy: "I don't want to wear this bracelet anymore. If I take the bracelet off will I not look pretty anymore?"
Kyler: "No, you look pretty no matter what you do."

WOW, what can ya say? I am blessed.
