Yesterday was Mandy's 15 month check up and she is doing great! She however did not enjoy any part of the visit...measuring - cry, weighing - cry, dr touching - cry...getting the picture? Yes that is how it went. Fun for Mama! Her stats are that her 19 inch Goulding head doesn't register on the charts, she was 31 inches tall (75%) and weighed 21 lbs 11 ounces (35-40%). All in all she is doing well and could do all of the things he wanted her to be doing and then some - YEA!
The MADNESS of a working mom and keeping up with the fast paced life of her family of four!

Annual Memorial Weekend Camping Trip
This is my favorite way to end a school year. Every Memorial Weekend we go camping and it is a wonderful winding down from a hectic school year. Every year it rains some but this year was one of the most rainy. We did get into the lake some just not as much as we would have liked. The kids barely seemed to notice all the rain and had just as much fun running around in it and playing in the mud! All in all a success.

BBQ for Aunt Emma
On Sunday, Uncle Richard hosted a BBQ for Emma in celebration of her graduation...I know it was definitely a busy weekend but so nice to see everyone. The kids had fun in the pool, Mandy more so than Kyler he is still getting over the water he got up his nose at his first swim lesson of the season. Mandy on the other hand was a FISH! They were both so cute in the pool. The water was cold and I managed to brave my way into the pool (and bathing suit too...yikes). Daddy joined us along with Buddy, Paw Paw, Aunt Emma, Grandma Sarah and Jake. Grandma Deb sat with her feet in but that was as far as she went. She is from North Dakota and up there they just don't swim in May. Too funny. Good food thanks to Aunt Charlcy and good company. All around good weekend. I am celebrating one more week of school before summer vacation and ready for our annual memorial weekend camping trip at Lake Whitney.
Stockyards
Saturday we went to the Stockyards to give Grandma Sarah's sister, Grandma Deb a tour. It sure was a great time. Kyler sugared Paw Paw into buying him a horse (stuffed) and a bear for Mandy...Sucker! It was fun to watch. Grandma Deb challenged Daddy and Uncle Todd to a race in the Cowtown Maze and it was SOOOO funny to see from the platform above! Daddy won, Go Daddy, Uncle Todd came in second by 7 minutes and Grandma Deb pulled in the rear with 23 minutes! But she did great. I ran into a former student and her family and we had a good talk. She seems to be doing well and getting so grown up.
Thank the Laude!
When each of us reaches the huge milestone in life of graduation from high school we think "Thank the Lord!" Well, it is Aunt Emma's turn and we are all so proud. Friday night she graduated from North Crowley High and will be going off to San Angelo State in the fall. Go Emma. We love you.

Bedtime...
Well, Mandy has picked up where Kyler left off. She has officially figured out how to get out of her bed so her little self popped out around the corner and giggled! We put her back so many times Daddy finally rescued her and snuggled her to sleep. Sweet Daddy.

Mother's Day ...

Congrats Tina!
CONGRATULATIONS TINA! Last night we went to see Tina get her Associate's Degree from TCC and it was wonderful. The kids were extremely well behaved especially since Mandy hasn't been feeling well. We all went to eat at Mercado Juarez afterwards. Sad to say it was so late that the kids were full off snacks before we got supper. O well, on occasion it won't hurt.

SlumberParty
Last night Kyler went to a slumber party with Austin and Alex. Aunt Kelly was very nice to invite him to spend the night. He sure did have fun! He talked about it all the way to his first swim lesson of the season. He was a little fish in the water he kicked, held his breath and hung on the wall. He was very good at waiting his turn. Mandy will start hers next week. Apparently with the Easter holiday all the classes got pushed back a week so neither of their classes actually start until next week but they let Kyler in since we didn't know. Thank God for that because I would have never heard the end of it if we would have had to leave without him getting in the pool!

Check up!
Today was Kyler's check up with Dr Young. He was 36 3/4 pounds (90%) and 37 3/4 inches tall (55%). His percentages were exactly the same as his two year so he is growing proportionally and that is great! He was doing all of the things he was supposed to be doing and looking great! And he was very brave getting his shot just saying "Owie that hurts, that hurts!" Yea for Kyler what a big boy he is becoming. Mandy on the other hand was running a 101 fever today and not feeling great. He checked her ears and everything else gave a Rx and said to hold off on filling it but if she starts waking up and tugging worse at her ears to get it filled. On the way there another adventure and that was a flat tire! Yes, an eventful day. So Happy Mother's Day to me new tires! It was time and we knew it was coming but GEEZ... To top of the day of fun a STORM! There is a picture coming but we almost got to claim our GAP insurance! My dad's neighbor's tree came 3 feet from landing on the van. When we got home two of our new trees were at a 45 degree angle instead of upright and Kyler's new pool had vanished. Poor thing never even got to swim in it! The lid to his new sandbox was in the neighbor's yard and the toys all over our yard. Needless to say inside was...MUD. Our power in on but we have no water...??? Strange that a storm can take away water but they said it will be a long time before it is back on. Thank God for bottled water! Never a dull moment in a Goulding family.
