Poor Daddy...that mean old ottoman broke his toe! We had to use scotch tape until I could get to the store for the first aid kind...and yes he whined all weekend. We all know how painful that pinky toe can be!

First Practice
Tonight was the first practice and it was great! Kyle and I were so relieved to see how it went knowing how it could have gone...the kids were all as focused as five year olds can be and had a great time. Kyler's new coach "Coach Brown" was really good with the kids. He let the parents know that he would appreciate any help that he could get since he is used to coaching his older son and not the younger ones. Kyle waited to see how practice went and then offered to help...what a great Dad! Kyler was so proud of himself and we were proud too. He threw leading with the right foot, his first hit went to the grass and he threw it strong and straight to first base...GO KYLER! He is just STOKED about the season and I am so happy that he has something he gets so excited about.
T-ball...T-ball...T-ball!
Last night we got the call...Kyler's t-ball coach letting us know we are meeting tonight at 5:30 about practices, games etc! Woo Hoo! Kyler is sooooo excited to start playing...I am excited to watch...Kyle is so excited to watch without coaching...and Mandy is ready to cheer him on! Ready........Set.........GO! Spring chaos begins!

Saturday Night's Valentine's Party

Saturday night Aunt Kelly threw a Valentine's party for the kiddos...it was a hit! Everyone had a great time and Mandy brought cousin Megan home for a slumber party. The kids ate, played musical hearts, made a craft, handed out valentines and played played played! They had a blast, so much that our sleepover took very little time to pass out! Anyone who knows these two girls knows THAT is a feat when they are together!

My Valentines!!!
These are two of my Valentine's this year! Aren't they georgeous? They are so sweet (MOST of the time) and just warm my heart every time they tell me they love me to the moon and back. This afternoon Paw paw and Grandma Sarah gave Daddy and I to have a Valentine's Lunch Date. We dropped of my wedding ring to be repaired, ate lunch and picked up Mandy's birthday present while we were kidless. It was a great outing and we had a good time! I am so excited to get my ring back!! It will be ready tonight but we will pick it up tomorrow...YEA!!! As soon as the kids are up we are heading over to the kids' Valentine's party..they are thrilled!!
First Catfish Fry of the Year!
Last night was the first Friday night catfish fry of the season and Aunt Kelly put together an outing. It was a lot of fun and a great idea. Most of the pictures were blurry or captured a not so flattering face on someone or another...so here are a few cute ones of the kids that stayed close enough to the table for us to capture a picture before they were off again! Mandy dancing with Papa is a personal favorite.

Kyler's new friend...
Our new neighbors across the street have a little boy in Kindergarten named Kole. He is Kyler's new friend. Every couple of days the doorbell will ring and in runs Kole! He and Kyler play very well together and have a great time. He is learning the rules and seems to like being over here. Yesterday when he showed up Kyler was on his computer cool school and I just couldn't resist the photo op. Even funnier every time he has been over Kyler passes out on the couch at some point after he leaves, they must be playing really hard! It is a little hard for Mandy but she is learning that just because we are at home doesn't mean Bubba is hers! Funny, I never really thought about that scenario this early.
Uncle Todd
This weekend Uncle Todd came to town and it was great to see him! The kids really enjoyed wearing him out with play and Sunday morning the first words out of Mandy's mouth were "Where's Uncle Todd?" Even before she fully opened her eyes! Uncle Todd brought Kyler a hacky sack from Guatemala and Mandy a Guatemalan Baby Doll. Boy were they proud of these...you should have heard them saying Guatemala! This was a great visit and really nice for me to get to spend time with my little brother too!

Daddy Daughter Valentine's Dance
Tonight was Daddy and Mandy's first Daddy daughter dance. Mandy, Daddy, Uncle Shawn, Alex, Mr. Steven, Brianna, Uncle Jeremy and Megan all met at the dance. Let me tell you the level of enthusiasm oozing out of Mandy today was absolutely hilarious! Kyle not so much but he played a good sport. They apparently had a great time but I can't get much out of either of them. Uncle Shawn and Alex have been filling us in on all kinds of fun details. This is indicative of Mandy's day since she has not been the least bit cooperative today...I couldn't even get her to take pictures and she is normally a ham. They got cute flower corsages, took pictures, ate pizza and salad and played. There may have been a couple of dances in there too. Okay, when the crew left I got information about all the fun...they sat in the Christmas chair and took pictures; Mandy smiled pretty and Daddy smile handsome and while they danced daddy spun her around...THAT was her favorite part! Aunt Kelly and I took the boys to Chick fil a for dinner and play where they boys got into a scuffle of protection with another set of cousins in the play area...time to go! Hard to get onto them (although we did) knowing they believed they were protecting each other.
