Tigershark Cheering Section

Grandpa, Papa, Grammy, Poppy, Nana Geri and Kevin came to cheer the kids on today for their first game. Thanks for all the support, we love you!

Go Tigersharks!!!

Today was the boys' first soccer game and oh man what fun!! The boys really enjoyed playing and it was really fun to be soccer parents and yell and cheer. To see them running and laughing and playing was just so cool. Oh, and even though we don't keep score according to the daddies we won 14-5.

Tuesday Night

Tuesday night while the boys were at soccer practice Mandy and I played beauty shop and did hair and nails, played with her babies and read books. Somewhere in there she did a few songs and dances (these things start off as a rehearsal for dance class and turn into her own made up songs with cheorography) and this is a piece of one. The end of one...

Don't get me wrong, she hasn't been this happy every day, it has been a very hard week for this pretty little girl! She is just starting to get used to me going to work and now her Bubba is gone two days a week, she is starting into a growth spurt, and I believe (not sure) she is in the early stages of getting her molars! None of that could be a valid excuse for the serious attitude Tuesday and beating up of her brother for leaving her that she gave him on Wednesday.

First day of Pre-school

Today Kyler started pre-school. He was so excited that he dressed himself after finishing his pancake and left his sister at the table to do it. I barely held him off long enough to not be EARLY! I will admit I did cry on the way to work. Thanks to Dawn and Tracie for letting me come in a little late to show him off to his first day, it was VERY special! He took his lunch box and backpack straight to his cubby and put them right where they belonged and got a picture with his teacher Mrs. Robin. I called to see how his day went on my conference and he said, "GREAT MAMA! I listened, got no color changes and no timeouts!" He was so proud and rightfully so...I am too. Now, just let him get comfy and see if he can keep it up. He got a sticker for being good, a sticker on one of his worksheets for getting them all right, on his sheet had a stamp saying star student and wrote is As and Bs for Mrs. Robin. And those are just the things that I heard about and saw in his folder. I am bragging a little but I am a proud mama so give it to me every once in a while...
Speaking of folders, as a teacher I know how crucial it is to have parent communication with the teacher and I hope I can keep up my end of the deal not forgetting to initial his paper keeping him from getting a stamp for the day. I guess now it is my turn to be on the other end!

Labor Day 08

Today is my mental health day at home (Daddy is hunting - opening of Dove season). The kids and I are staying is comfy clothes and hanging out at home. Just enjoying each other since I haven't had more than an hour with them on any one night this week so this is just what the doctor ordered! Yesterday we went to a cookout at Uncle Richard and Cabby's house for swimming and good visiting time. Kyler is sooooo close to swimming on his own! He did some but really like taking off in his life jacket because he could "swim" but still have some security. Mandy loved the floaties and noodles. We could barely get either of them out of the water all day! Kyler got to play with Jacob and they traded Kyler's swim mask and flippers that were too big to Jake for a BIG TMNT! Kyler has barely put that thing down. Mandy and Leigh both love Tinkerbell so Leigh gave her a little bitty tin purse that has Tink on it. What a fabulous day. Tomorrow is Kyler's first day of Pre-K and my principal is letting me come in late so that I can drop him off for the first day...THANKS Dawn. It is wonderful to work in a place that will still support the importance of your own family too.

Visit to Grandma

Tonight we went by to visit Grandma. She was appreciative of the visit and would love for us to come by more often when we can because she does get lonely. We had a good visit but do request prayers for her health and for our family (all the Gouldings) to have the strength to give her what she needs.

Random Pictures of Lately...

I know, I know I am a blogging slacker! Here are some random pictures of the last couple of weeks. Mandy and Maddi, parking lot crew, Kyler playing super hero songs, purple and green muffins for breakfast this morning. We also went to the little spray park and playground this morning but I didn't think to take the camera out of my purse I was just enjoying watching the kids and catching up with Aunt Kelly.

Radio Talk

On the way to Wal-Mart for groceries we were listening to the radio, singing and talking when Kyler pipes up with "Mama, my robot's not dancing...Can you turn on some boy music?" Yep, that is really what he said. He meant one with a boy singing. I turned it to a rock station and Mandy says "NO! I want it slowly!" Typical, right? The debate continued and the compromise??? Country, George Strait (a boy) and slow for the girl! They crack me up!!!

Meet the Teacher...

Kyler got to meet his teacher and the majority of his classmates for preschool this year. He didn't want to leave to go to soccer practice because he wanted to go back in and "do stuff". You can tell by the look on his face while he was sitting at a table in his class what he was saying to me, "Come on mom!" I am embarrassing him already! However, when he got to soccer practice (late) he had a great time. Mrs. Christy offered to take Mandy to dance so she wouldn't miss her last dance class before the fall semester starts in September, I am guessing all went well. According to Mandy, she did all her dances and had fun so it worked out well.

Last Saturday...

Okay, I know I am behind! I started back to work this week and have a sick husband so ... needless to say my time on the computer is limited right now. We went to cook out at Paw Paw's house Saturday (we have not been over in a LONG time) and the kids really enjoyed getting to play with Paw Paw and Grandma Sarah. Paw Paw was showing off the new grill and cooked some FANTASTIC steaks! YUM YUM. Kyler helped water flowers and playing with Gus while Mandy played dress up, inventing her own "backpack"!
