Mother's Day
Wow, this year I got to have a Mother's Day just for me! I love all the mom's in my life and I love celebrating them but it was really special for me to be celebrated this year. It was a great day! I woke up with Kisses from my kiddos and a hubby who cooked breakfast and helped the kids color me Mother's Day cards (Kyler even wrote his name on his). Then I got to take a bath and read a book while Mandy kept me company. Daddy let me go to Target on my own to search for something to spend the $20.00 gift card I won on me...something I rarely do. I got home and played with my babies and relaxed in the front yard. Our neighbors across the street came by and Aunt Kelly and Uncle Shawn came over with their kiddos and we ate and played some more. It was a great relaxing day....When I came back inside Daddy had vacuumed and cleaned our potties...WOO HOO! GO Daddy cudos to you. When we all settled Brianna asked Kyler and Mandy to check out her new swingset and we did until bed time and they crashed! ( I did too ) Fantastic Mama's Day!

Coaches vs. Kids
Proud Mama!
Mandy did so awesome this morning at her dance performance! It was just the two of us this morning and she did both dances with little shyness and had so much fun with her friends. I came off the stage so excited and proud...SHE DID IT!
Friday Night Tball
When we have Friday night games it is always a mad dash to get there and we never know how much of the team will show. Fortunately last night the whole team was there and the kids had a lot of fun. After the game we all hung out in the front yard, the neighbors were out and the kids played until they passed out! This warm weather is leading us into a habit of Friday nights with neighbors, we really enjoy it!

Bookworms
This morning (since I am off today) I took the kids to Half Priced Books so that Kyler could use the gift card Aunt Erica, Uncle Jeremy and Megan gave him. They had so much fun I think they cleared off half of the clearance racks. Kyler picked out one Spiderman Kit that was regular priced and I spent just over $6 for Mandy to get hers too. How do you say no to a child who WANTS books? I am not sure you can! All in all we got a ton of books for $31! Thanks Aunt Erica, Uncle Jeremy and Megan! On top of the stack is The Monster at the end of this book because I found it for .25 today and I have been searching for it since Kyler was born!

Kyler's big day!
Today Kyler had a t-ball game followed by a birthday party! We had a blast at the park with lots of wonderful friends and family. Kyler really had a great time and we got the pavilion right next to the playground so parents and grandparents could stay put and still watch the fun. Gran made the awesome dinosaur cakes for us since I had a week of pure madness and they turned out great! Thanks Gran! Aunt Kelly brought some fresh fruit that everyone loved, especially the kids. The kiddos got to play on a very cool playground, blow bubbles, eat cake and snacks and Kyler got to open some wonderful birthday presents. Thanks to everyone for your generosity. Kyler did get his Spiderman big kid bike and wanted to "drive" it home! After the party the neighbors came over and we grilled great food and the kids played and the big boys played poker.
Our Neighborhood...
The best thing about living where we do is the awesome neighbors. Last night everyone just happened to be outside and visiting and it was just nice. There were no time lines or obligations just visiting. I don't know of any other or better way to put it than to know that you live in a place with great people so you know you can count on them in a pinch or just hang out and relax without worrying how you look or feel. It is just nice. I love it here!

Cinco De Mayo
Tonight was Mandy's second dance performance and when we got there we found out that we were going to perform both dances. She has never done twinkle twinkle on stage before and I guess going twice made her more at ease because she did more of the steps that time. Too cute and tons of personality. She wanted to go up there and dance but once there she wasn't sure if she wanted to perform "I'm so glad I'm me" tonight. She kept checking to see what her friends were doing before she bought into it. All in all a success and then we went to eat. Thanks Grammy, PawPaw and Grandma Sarah for coming out it was great to enjoy this together.

My Boy is FOUR!
I can't believe that four years ago yesterday I had my handsome, sweet little boy and now he is sooooo big. I woke him up to sing to him and give him our presents before I left for work and got to give him Birthday Morning Love! I really treasure those little things. As selfish as it seems I really wanted to be the first to sing to him and love on him for his birthday (and some of my family is know to call EARLY...which we LOVE). He got to go play with his cousins for the day and then have dinner with Alex since she couldn't go to the game with us. All the cousins got "Magic Towels" and Ninja turtle rings from the cupcakes. We took Megan's to her. Aunt Erica delivered Uncle Rick and Aunt Karen's birthday gift and he has been asking to open it and play with it ever since. Then we were off to the Ranger game and everyone seemed to have fun. What a birthday!
